Hiuspannoistahan mulla on jo aikaisempaa kokemusta. Päätin kokeilla pantoja kahdesta erilaisesta langasta.
*So that this blog wouldn't end up being just about knitting, here's some crocheting. In Crochet Along on Google+ community was MiniCAL headbands before the project of this month. Since I'm already familiar with headbands, so that was good. I decided to try these with two different kinds of yarn.*

*I'm made about 70 chain crochets for my 56 cm head. Since it's not supposed to be worn like sweatband, it's good to adjust the number of crochets to its future user by trying it on. I thought the gray one would be a winter band, but now that's it's so cold in Finland (at the moment), I wouldn't even think of going out just wearing that band in my head. A real hat is definitely needed!*
Tässä vielä pannat käytössä.
*Here's the headbands in action.*
Vielä olisi tämän kuun virkkausprojekti aloittamatta. Huomenna suuntaan kyllä lankakauppaan!
*I still haven't started the crochet along of this month. Tomorrow I'm going to yarn shopping though!*

Neulotut jämälanka hiuspannat *Knitted leftover yarn headbands*
Mietin yksi päivä, mihin ihmeeseen saan kulutettua kaikki epämääräiset puuvillalankojen jämät, joita on kertynyt jo useampi.
*One day I was thinking how I could use up all the leftover cotton yarns, that I already had gathered quite much. Here's one idea how to spend them. I like to use headbands, but usually the problems is that I have so big head so the band starts to squeeze during long days. These knitted headbands are great, since they can be made to fit your (your friend's) head. These are great for beginner knitters to learn different techniques or for more experienced great gift to make.*

Kaikki 3 ohetta ovat ilmaisia Ravelry:ssä. *All three patterns are free on Ravelry.*
*The first one is very easy, which includes mostly yarn overs and knitting two stitches together. The second one was a bit more difficult for me, since it required knitting stitches twice on both sides. The third one needed more learning of new techniques. The ends of the band is made with i-cord technique, which is actually easy when you understand it. The work is knitted without turning it - the stitches just has to be moved to the other end of the needle, so you create cord. The last was definitely my favorite.*
